About me
Over the years my images have been widely used in Newspapers, Magazines, Journals and used on TV.
Recent personal projects include a series of images taken of Painshill Park, the restored 18th century landscape garden in Surrey. I have a on going project recording images of the River Thames which grows larger every year.
I use a wide range of camera equipment including Hasselblad and Canon DSLR and medium format film SLR cameras. Where possible and time and subject allows I try and use large format cameras, including a classic 10x8 Deardorff V8 and Tachihara cameras, the images they produce have a quality and tonal range that is still unbeatable.
At the age of 16 I started a 5 year professional photographic apprenitceship. I learned how to operate cameras in all formats from 35mm to 8 x 10. I was trained to use tungsten and flash lighting in the studio and on location. In the Darkroom I learned how to process film and print colour and black and white images. the skills I aquired then are still in use today.
